GK MB500 question

My main head is my trusty GK MB500, with a Rumble 500 as a backup. Both heads have an overdrive channel.

The Rumblecame with a footswitch. Would that footswitch work for the GK as well. I don't know if the heads are wired the same in that regard, but for the few times I use the drive (Who tunes mainly), it would be good to be able to use the footswitch. Thanks.

I think you made an error in your question, in that you're asking if the
Fender foot switch will work with the
GK head.
The Fender manual says that any generic latching foot switch will work
for the Rumble. The GK is a small metal
box with a simple latching on- off switch. It will probably work. I don't think any harm will be done to anything
by plugging in either of the switches
and trying them.

Ok, I don't think any harm will happen
with trying it. The worst thing to happen is that it doesn't work.
I come from a strong electronics
background in saying this. Both
switches are simple latching on-off
switches.

Yes, it will work for the MB. If you were asking about a Legacy, that requires a different switch, the one that comes with it.

I got a MB500 in trade from another TBer, and had a few questions. Called up GK, and they were quite friendly and informative. I suggest calling them. (Maybe not on Thanksgiving. )
