GK MB800 FUSION RELEASE DATE??

It would be best to call them because they have the other GKs for nice prices and the mb200 is listed for $199. So if they are right, the fusion 800 may be listed at their price. Has anyone purchased GKs from them at these prices?

A simple answer might be to call the vendor and ask.

Maybe; but I have been given total mis-information along these lines before. I think often times the vendor deos not have a solid commitment from the manufacturer on long term pricing, and, the manufacturer doesn't have enough information to give an honest answer.
If this amp is still in testing (be it UL or international), it is possible that GK does not yet know exactly what it will cost to produce, or what type of incentive programs will be offered.
For that matter, the actual release date vs. what the competition has available could alter pricing.
It does sound like a pre-order now would lock in the price though.

As crazy as these "pre-order" games are, they do create free advertising for something that doesn't exist as demonstrated here, and with past products. Would rather see it take a year to reach the market than be released with reliability issues.

Good point.

Back up to my backup MB Fusion 500 for $300 used, here I come!:hyper:

Seriously, if the MB Fusion 800 actually releases for under $700, that would be crazy. Would the MB200 be $129?:hyper:

I love my Mesa M9, but I would Sell it and have GK MBs everywhere!

After trying out the GK MB's, I did just that.
I sold my Mesa M6 and bought an MB800 and sold my SWR 350X back-up amp and bought an MB500.
No regrets here.

Well... We're waiting.

Simple formula for GK new product releases.

1)Take the announced release date.
2) Add 5 months
3) Add 4 months to fix early production issues

That would put my estimated 'real' release data right after Summer Namm, 2013:D

Edit: To be a little less snarky, I played the prototype at NAMM and it was VERY nice... the feature set and power of the MB800, with the smoother, more refined tone of the MBFusion500. If they ever get them out, and if they are glitch free, they will be a VERY strong offering in the micro amp category.

In case anyone was still wondering, the reason for the delays is because GK has moved their production from China to California, so all new heads will now be manufactured out of their California plant. First, the delay was waiting for the parts to come in from China, now the delay is waiting for ETL approval. Once they have the green light, they can begin shipping out the product. I was in contact with GK personally. According to Jason Finley of GK, he has informed me that the release date for the MB Fusion 800 will be around mid to late March 2013. I'm hoping mid-March since I've already placed and paid for my order.
