GK sbx/rbx and rbII's

when was the sbx discontinued? i've read in the forums that some prefer the sbx, why?
in particular i'm wondering about the 4 10's
when did the rb series heads become rbII's ?
i've tried to find this info but alas it avails me...so to the tb'ers
