GK400Rb+cab

Find out what series it is - IV is the newest, and III isn't that old (I'm 18 and I bought my III new). Find out what sort of cabinet. Sounds fishy - the head can bring $2-300, so unless the cab is a really, really nice cab, I'd say he's high on the price.

Depends on the cab... The head is 300 max. If it was say a Bag End 15 or maybe a GK 1x15 neo (unlikely as that is ...) then $600 would OK - not spectacular but not embarrasingly high either.

The 400 is a great amp. If I had $600 to drop on a new small rig, Id hold out for a 700 / 800 / 1001 and a cab though. I likes me a little more horsepower.

600 for a matching rig is always a good price but with that being said my GK 400 RB wouldn't sell for more than 300 but more likely 250.00 present day and I have the older version.. they are die hard amps!

now like these guys above are saying the newer GK heads are better with more options.

Depends on your use of it, I found that a 400rb with a 410 to be a little shy for a rock band situation. Barely loud enough, no extra room, and amps don't like to be pushed close to their limits all the time. I used this setup with 2 guitarists using marshall half stacks and a loud drummer, and I could be heard, but the amp struggled.
