Glarry Bass Versus Glarry Jazz

Considering getting one of the basses below except the Pbass is sold out. What's the difference and why is one sold out and the other not? Can I get some help on setting it up other than what is posted in the hardware section? All comments welcome, but I'm not concerned with sound, just want a bass to play. If you know any cheap basses please list!

I wanna know what's up with the "rich gift package".

This has pretty riffs too

This is a GREAT video that really shows the differences. Since it is wisely with music background instead of soloed, you can easily hear how the J sometimes gets lost in the music and the P is always in the sweet spot and stands out, but doesn't have the edge of the J. Well done, Lobster!

Buyer Beware.
Received my Glarry Fretless J yesterday.
The tuner on the G STring is so tight I`m afraid of breaking it (I`ve tried loosening some screws but got no positive results),
Also had this issue with the pickups. Still figuring if I’ll return it or just look thru my parts bin and “make it happen”.
What can you really expect for one bill.

:D beats me...how is that even possible? i'm guessing that more people bought one than the other, or glarry had more in stock of one than the other, or something in between. it's kind of creepy!

i don't think the glarry fretless is made in the J configuration, and besides: you're showing a P pickup in your photo. also: get into your toolbox and your parts bin and fish out what you need to make that ax play. everyone knows that a new $100 EB might need a little love and attention. no biggie, easy peasy. good luck with your set up!

My REALL bad!! Geesh! I meant P while I was thinking about something else. Thats what happens at the end of your work day.
Thanks JRA for keeping me straight. Been a long week already!

At that price level I’m inclined to believe the P bass would be the better choice. The pickup, being a humbucker , will be more powerful and it seems to be a lot harder to screw up a basic P bass design compared to the two pickup jazz. The jazz will likely hum like crazy as well if the two single coil pickups are not on an equal volume. The neck might even be a little chunkier, but I suspect they’re using the same neck on both. I’d either wait for it to be in stock or buy from one of the other retailers.
