i have a Blue Soul amp from 2012 and it has a power upgrade was 650w now 1000w at 4 ohm (same power module as the new Blue Rock) with an officiale note from Glockenklang.

It really kicks some butt now and i don't use my poweramp anymore.

Great & honest service from Udo in Germany


i use it with a tube preamp to the return from the Blue Soul so now i have 2 preamps for my Fenders & uprightbass

the Glock is now 1000w classe D (a great one) after upgrade, the sound for upright very good also on low level the headroom is the secret.. for my Fender basses i use a tube preamp and use it to the return of the Blue Soul so 2 preamps 2 basses with the poweramp of the Blue Soul..

great combi the Glock is warm & smooth for upright & the vdKley va650 tube preamp sounds vintage and warm...

Hi Fred!
I also use my Blue Soul for both upright and and e bass and I realy like it.
I use a Grace Felix preamp on the upright and my Moollon to the Glock pre.
Out of curiosity what cabinets do you use?
I've been using tks and I'm trying Glockenklang space art now.

great to talk to you about gearthat's a nice preamp you have...

try this; output of your preamp goes to mp-3 return (same as preamp in) set the gain mp-3 at front open you can select between your preamps from the Blue Soul it self or use the other preamps...maybay you do already the same trick?

do you have Facebook? we can tread pics or have directly contact...
i use van der Kley 12" cabinets 2x
and sometimes with my vintage Fenders a van der Kley 15" cabinet all custom made in the Netherlands were i live..

how is your power of the Blue Soul? you can upgrade it to send a mail to Udo in Germany and send your amp in 2 weeks fixed.. for less money about €50,- ex send it up costs and tax...

If I had the money I'd just buy the new Blue Rock. I think I'd love it having read pretty much everything here. But my days of having a good paying day job are behind me. And I'm really bad about selling stuff. Honestly I'm blessed with a lot of nice gear so I can't complain. I just have a roving eye and like to try new stuff. My latest toy is the new PV Minimega head. I thought about selling the Soul II head to finance the BR so that's a possibility. But again I hate to part with gear I really like.
