Double Bass Glue for surface chips

My grandson has chipped the surface of his Shen laminate bass. We have the chip. It’s about 1/4 inch near one of the f-holes. Since this is not on a seam I think it doesn’t need hide glue. Would the proper glue for this be wood glue or super glue?

You could try, but I wouldn’t recommend either.

Shen uses a flour-based glue. I don’t know the formula, but research that before you act.
