Gnomeratron VTF - a nasty muff with blend: prototype review

It's doable, but I don't know how practical or interesting it would be. And, it would take more work to change the diodes if it turns out to not be interesting.
You can experiment without the extra sockets by using loose diodes and alligator clips.
I've covered my lawn in gnomes in celebration of the coming of the gnomeratron!!

First one. But now that you mention it... haha.
Just fully socked a switch and tested its durability. Threw it as hard as I could against the wall. The actuator broke and one of the sockets was bent-- but the solder joint held. I took some pliers to break the solder joint by force, and the socket actually broke off first.
I think it was worth the cost of a switch and a couple minutes of soldering to test that.
The first time I didn't throw it quite so hard.
and then the fat dancing drunk lady stepping on it test!
That actually happend to my brothers USA deluxe strat, the drunk fat ladies highheels cought his guitar cable and pulled it off the stand. It split the body at the neck joint.
Happened to me more than once!:scowl:
Luckily the only major casualty was my power supply to my EHX BMS. Thank goodness for talkbass classifieds for a replacement!!

The anticipation is killing me! It got worse after showing my bandmates the pictures and description, now they're eagerly asking every practice if I've got the Gnome with me, haha.
Haha. Sorry about the wait guys. Everything's going well, they're just very time-consuming pedals to build. There's about 30 off-board wires, it's built on perf, nothing about them isn't hand-done, etc etc.
I'm working hard to get the first batch (4) out before the weekend, and after that they'll start going out much faster. : )
I realize the build time keeps getting longer and longer. My friends tell me I'm being a bit too picky and eccentric. They might be right, but it's worth it to me... and I've got it all down. Hah.
