Godeater - has anyone tried killing The Old Ones?

I have been scouring the net for my next pedal and I am 99% sure I found what I will get in a couple of days.

Thing is, there is not much to go on there beyond some synth videos which do not really tell me much about this thing, the best I found was presentations/speeches by the maker of the unit.

Has anyone here tried the Godeater by Animal Factory Amplification? Which ever version.

It's so strange that you posted this today because I stumbled across this company last night and was looking at this same pedal. (Well, technically I was looking primarily at the eurorack module.)

It seems promising on paper but I'd be hesitant to pull the trigger without hearing a demo.

Actually I spoke thru email with the guy who made this thing. He is just a nerd, we spoke a lil bit and that was kinda it. I asked him about the blend function since its an on or off switch so I wasn't sure how it worked at the time. He explained that it turns the last knob into a blend once you engage that switch, so its all good.

Well, there isn't much online about this unit and it was made specifically to preserve the low end. How bad can it be? I want something to add a bit of texture and grit to my signal. I'll be happy to report back once I got it

Also there are some demos of this pedal on their website, but sadly none on the bass. Just some synths and guitars.

Check out the Ibanez PD7. It can go from a bit of grit all the way to serious distortion, and it's made for bass so the low end is never lacking. It's an awesome pedal.

Gorgeous pedal! I've had a long and hard look at the Pit Viper once, but did not pull the trigger because I could not find one within the EU. I like that these come from Bombay.

It brings the brootals, but whether they're the brootals you're looking for or not only you can say. I imagine resale value is probably robust since they're fairly rare.
