Come on people, lighten up - its a monster movie, not some mind expanding, mega drama purporting to answer all of life's mysteries....
I've been a 'Zilla fan since watching the b&w original, and I thoroughly enjoyed this version. It took a while to get going, but once it did, it was good stuff.
I dug the return of Godzilla's electric blue "nuke breath", and thought the battle scenes were cool too. I watched it at the Alamo Drafthouse, and the clips of old Godzilla movies & TV spoofs shown before the film were hilarious.
Way better than the Matthew Broderick version, but that's not saying much....
