I liked the dude who played Kong in King Kong vs Godzilla. He was a bit of a butterface, but he had a hellofa rack.

I predict that this movie will be only slightly less stupid than the movie Pacific Rim, but will still contain as many gaping plot holes as Pacific Rim did.
Oh, and it will have at the very least, one reference to how human beings are fu**ing up the planet/environment.

I heard that Godzilla doesnt even show up for over an hour into the movie, and then it just becomes predictable after that. Apparently its just not as fun for giant mutated radiation crazed lizards to stomp around out in the country, guess he's more of an urban lizard. I fear this movie just wont live up to the cheese factor so many of us are fond of.
Saw it. I wasn't expecting much, and it delivered on exactly that. Some cool moments, but otherwise it ran the gamut from meh to ugh.

Saw it. Paid the IMAX 3D tax, went nuts and bought a popcorn and a glass of wine. $29.75.
The movie is good enough, not great, but good. I liked it. There is absolutely no reason to pay extra for 3D though.
Bryan Cranston filmed his scenes while he was still shooting Breaking Bad (with shaved head). The wig he wears in Godzilla might be among the worst hairpieces I've ever seen.

Does anybody remember that terrible 1998 Godzilla movie with Matthew Broderick? Well it was better than this one.
26 here, and I like to think I have pretty good taste in movies, but I know what you mean. The other day I was talking about movies with a friend, and I mentioned how I thought that Leonardo DiCaprio was shaping up to be one of the great actors of our generation. Another person that had been overhearing our conversation then came up and told me that they thought Ryan Reynolds was one of the greatest actors.
That was the moment I lost all hope for humanity.
As a big fan of the Godzilla movies growing up. this post makes me sad. I'm still gonna see it, but I had high hopes for this movie, and Godzilla 1998 was one of the first times I was really, truly disappointed by a movie in my life. Absolutely hated it.
like a lot of the remakes of classic movies they completely miss the point. You cant make up for it with CGI and mediocre writing, folks see right through it
I saw last night. 4/10. Lots of issues with the plot and pacing, and not at all the visually impressive outside of one or two quick shots.
The first Godzilla movie was a catharsis for the collective Japanese psyche, a release from the horror of being nuked a couple of times. A lot of people may pooh pooh this now but at the time it came out oh yes it was serious stuff. I don't know if this movie goes deep enough to warrant being watched, probably not.
