Gold/champagne basses

Not it the market at all, but this Carvin caught my eye while browsing. They call it Platinum Gold Metallic. I'd call it champagne. Interestingly enough, I saw a truck on the road yesterday in the exact same color. I like it.

This pic of my Super P/J makes it look gold. Sheldon calls it Bronze Age:

That would be easy to find out. Just measure the neck pocket on your bass. If it's to Fender specs it'll be 2 1/2" by 3 7/8". Depth would be 5/8".

One thing you might try if you decide to refinish it is automotive spray paint. Works really well on bass bodies. I've done several basses that way and it turned out great.

thanks for those measures. i've measured my bass and it turns they only miss the Fender specs by a millimeter or two in width and depth, so i think it would be fine, with some light sanding on the neck pocket.

as for the automotive spray, i've been searching through the stores in town and there aren't that much colours i'd like to finish my bass in, but that was my goal too. buying a body from warmoth is too expensive for my savings at the moment, so either i wait some months or find a nice colour to spray. maybe surf green with a white pg:ninja:

I don't think you're allowed to sell stuff unless you have a supporting membership. Best $20 you'll ever spend...
