I watched Goliath S1E1 and kind of liked it a lot. Billy Bob Thornton is this washed up lawyer who drinks a little too much and has a rocky relationship with his family. He was a founding partner of a huge law firm but had to leave for a reason yet to be explained. Clearly it was a very bad breakup. Now he finds a case he can exploit to go against his own former partners and maybe extract some revenge. This setup has been done before, but so far this show is doing it uniquely. I think I’m in. Anyone?
I binge watch this a few months ago. Pretty good show. At the time they had, I think, 2 seasons worth. I'm not sure if that's all they did? I'd definitely watch any additional episodesif they become available anytime soon.
Alright @OldDog52. I think you and I share taste in TV/movies since you've recommended other shows that I enjoyed too. I'll give this one a try tonight and let you know. Generally speaking, I like BBT as an actor, so I figure I'll like this. -Mike
I’m up to S1E5. It seems like the show is starting to go into the weeds in terms of exploring the personal lives of the main characters. Also I’ll never be able to unsee that much of William Hurt. Just because you can do something doesn’t mean it’s a good idea.
Just last night I finished S1E2. That was brutal watching Rachel get run over. Wow. The story is cool, but I really like the production quality and camera work of these Prime original series. It feels really well made. -Mike
Yeah? I've seen and heard about it, and that part of the country is intriguing to me. What do you like about the show? -Mike
There’s really nothing to not like! Casting is perfect, along with the writing and acting. Season 2 was as good or better without being predictable or repetitive.
Ozark is great! It's a little like Breaking Bad except that virtually everyone is in on, or at least aware of, the illegal activities going on. Wife, kids, neighbors, law enforcement.
I finished Season 1. A very good show with a nice satisfying conclusion to the story arc. On to Season 2...
On to episode four, I think. I keep falling asleep. I'm really bored of the Cooperman guy with that burned up face and clicking all the time. -Mike
