Goliath (Amazon Prime)

I made it through season one. I liked it, and the ending.
It took me until the final episode to realize Wendell Corey was Dwight Yoakum. I knew I recognized him, but I couldn't place the face. Even then, it was only with help from the x-ray feature on Prime Video that @OldDog52 told me about previously.
I'll start season two tonight, but I'm going to miss some of the season one cast, especially Callie. I really liked her.

I’m almost finished with Season 2. I’m not liking it as much as S1. The story seems to be flailing around sometimes and some of the weird fetishes of a few main characters is a bit much. But it’s still watchable.

I hate to say it but I thought Paul Williams was no longer with us. Nice to see him working in something good.

I found this blurb about season three:
The season-three cast of “Goliath” will include Dennis Quaid, Amy Brenneman, Beau Bridges, Griffin Dunne, Sherilyn Fenn, and Shamier Anderson. In the new season, the unexpected death of an old friend leads McBride to take a case in the drought-stricken Central Valley, where he comes into conflict with a billionaire rancher (Quaid) and his sister (Brenneman). Also starring are Nina Arianda as Patty Solis-Papagian, Tania Raymonde as Brittany Gold, Diana Hopper as Denise McBride, Ana de la Reguera as Marisol Silva, and Julie Brister as Marva Jefferson. “Goliath” is executive produced by Lawrence Trilling, Geyer Kosinski, and Jennifer Ames and Steve Turner.

I was really hoping they'd leave the Marisol storyline alone.
I hope it's not JT who died. I like him. I will miss Wyatt though. He was a likable bad guy for me.

At the end of S1 Donald Cooperman was hospitalized after a major stroke or something. He begged Billy to help him end his life but Billy declined, noting “That would be against the law”.

In S2 I swear Billy made a casual reference to Cooperman still being alive. Did I imagine that? IMDB.com shows the status of the Cooperman character as open-ended: “2016 - “. Maybe we haven’t seen the last of him.

Billy has quite a bit of serious dirt on Marisol Silva now. I expect him to call in some favors from her in S3.

S2 had some serious problems. Plenty to criticize. But I like that they’re swinging for the fences even if they occasionally miss.

I watched season three a month or so ago.
It's great, but much different from season one and two. You'll also get an answer to your speculation about Cooperman in post #31.
Amazon has yet to let me down with their original shows.

I found Season Three much more slow-moving and boring than the first two. Season One was definitely the best, IMO.

But I will say this: Billy Bob is one fine actor. Very naturally believable with every character he's played. Have any of you seen "A Simple Plan"? I thought he was amazing in that.

Same here, but I watched because of Thornton. I'm glad I did though.

Oh yeah Mike, I meant to mention something else. Way back, you mentioned that you hadn't realized that Corey was Dwight Yoakum. I recognized Dwight immediately; but it took me awhile to realize that Cooperman was William Hurt!

Now that's funny since my experience was exactly opposite.
I was already impressed with the production quality of the Amazon original series, but when I saw John Hurt on screen I remember thinking how impressive it was for yet another big star on the show.
