Knowing most of the flashbacks are related to his brush with death, they don’t bother me. I mean he’s been through a lot and now he’s not quite right. *shrug*

Some of the stuff Billy experiences in the present isn't real. Viewers get to figure out what's real and what isn't. At least that's my take on it. Like did Bruce Dern really come over to Billy's apartment and give him binoculars? I'm not all that sure.

But I'm a little dense sometimes.

Don't think I've ever seen J.K. Simmons do a macabre song and dance number before. Ha.

Ha ha!! I was shaking my head during Episode 1 also. "What the #### am I watching here??!!" :D I'm on the fence right now as to whether it'll be as good as previous seasons, but now that I figured out what's going on, I think it'll be fine. Great cast, that's for sure. I'm only mid-way through Episode 2 though, so hopefully there won't be too many spoilers here...

We are much alike, as I said and wondered the same things.
I finished episode three last night.
It's improving, and yes the casting is great. I've liked the production quality as well of every Prime original series I've seen.

OK, I've now binged up to the end of Season 3. Progressively worse each season. Season 2 was good but not S1 good. And 3, I see what you guy mean about flashbacks, etc. None of which they seem to do in 1 or 2. Space filler, who knows. Still OK, I hope S4 is better than 3.

I loved the general weirdness of S3. But that’s me. lol.

My interpretation of the “Picasso” stuff is it’s replaying what Billy experienced in his near-death experience between S3 & S4 after he was shot. He ain’t quite right.

Full disclosure: I’m as dumb as a box of broken hammers. ;)

Edit: I’m interested in what’s going on in Billy’s head.
