Good basses r good

Same here. I wish I could keep all of them forever. And then I want more :D

My amp has put a complete stop to any kind of desire to get another amp, though, I haven't even wanted to try other amps since I got my trusty Merlin stack in 2003 :)

Me too- or me three....... BUT I feel I should get rid of ONE. I mean 5 elec basses.....???? Surely thats OK aint it????
1. EB Music Man Stingray 5---- what needs to be said- solidbuild/superb sounds etc etc
2. Warwick Corvette $$ - active/passive, series/parallel/singlecoil/humbucker mode, pup blend- & they ALL sound amazing!
3. 1977 Gibson G3- just a superb grind machine- not polite BUT I LOVE it!!!!
4. '50's RI RW Fender Precision. I just wanted a GOOD standard P bass & these came HIGHLY recommended. I happened to find one that was an ex-display model & she's GREAT!!!! Threw a set of Fender Nylon Tapewounds on it!1 LOVELY!
5. '06 Fender Reggie Hamilton sig STD Jazz. Was in my local- & like all the instruments there- WAY over priced!!! I tried it & WOW she's a ripper!! (thats a beauty in Australian slang:-) BUT was still WAY too $$$$$. Then one day I went in there 4 a browse & it was 1/2 price!!! I tried it out- to make sure it was the SAME bass & YES SIR!!! I've tried several RH sigs since & NONE 'speak' to me like this one does. I bought it on the spot! Active/passive - 18v 3 band EQ, pup blend-with neck pup a USA American series Precision pup, & the Bridge pup a 'noiseless' jazz pup. Superb bass! The Hipshot D-tuner on the 'E' string is an added bonus.
I'd LIKE another couple- a semi-hollow p'raps????
I aint counting my Acoustic/elec Ibanez- which I use at home for working out new tunes etc & muckin' about with.
OR the Modded Palatino Elec. Upright- which is a pretty cool bass now w/ the mods I've done & get's used every Sunday at out Jazz/blues gigs!
AHHHHHGGGGGGHGHGHGH Gas is a PAIN!
BUT I AM happy w/ what I got. completely! It's just ......fun collecting........... :-/
