Good but cheap 1X15 cab

I'm looking for a good 1X15 cab to go with my head. It will be the only cab I'll be using, since I just want something loud enough for band practice (with 1 drummer and 1 guitarist, so I don't need a supersonic wall of thunder...). What I'm kinda looking for is a nice midrangy sound, and if possible, on the affordable side. My amp head is a Marshall MB450H, and the guy at the store told me that getting the Marshall 1X15 cab that is made to go with it is actually the best combination...that might be true, and I'm very much considering that option, but other suggestions would be cool too. Under 400$ is preferable, if ever possible...

Have you thought about a 115 DIY build. There are lots of good posts on here about it. And, it would probibly sound better.

Not sure what your budget is but I've heard lots of good things about Bag End 15's over the years. I think Trace Elliott had a good 1x15 that was pretty affordable but I cant recall the model. I'm very happy with my Orange 1x15. If you can find one used I highly recommend them albeit I don't consider them particularly mid-rangy.

I own DIY cabs.. not a way to save money.. if you do it right.

Find something on craigs list.. I see them all the time under $200

OR find a speaker store for pro audio.. commonly they'll help you report stuff.

The Peavey BX115 is a nice cab, weighs about 70 pounds, takes up to 300W. Put rollers on the bottom and it's easy to move. Peavey is a workhorse. I have one for sale in the classifieds for $100 - but it's in Denver, so not of interest to you. I see used Peavey BX115 cabs for sale in the $150 a nd under range pretty often...if you see one on Craigslist or in the paper, it's worth checking out.

I have one of the Lopo Line 1x15 cabs that I loaded with a Eminence Delta. Fantastic bass tone. It's my main cab, and will run you well under $400 to do a similar setup.
