Good buy?

Recently picked this up on eBay... I play in an indie band in and around Manchester UK. We've just had our tracks recorded and produced by Boz Boorer (Morrissey and polecats fame) and ready to start gigging the new material. I've got this setup with a set of roundwound strings on as a couple of the new tracks have double bass on them. My other main bass is USA Jazz in sunburst, I personally think it makes a good companion but thought i'd put it to the experts!

I am blown away by the price paid for that Squier, I see those for $100-$150 on Craigs List quite frequently.

You can never, ever go wrong with a simple P bass, the foundation of rock n roll. All those high priced, boutique basses are nice and very impressive, but when it comes to rock n roll, give me a 'P' every time!

An item is worth whatever you're willing to pay for it. If the price you paid seemed fair to you, then don't worry about it. You could have bought a plain old Squier anywhere for under $200, but this one was customized in a way that appealed to you.

Pics please!!! Like, now!

I think it's a sweet bass. Looks just like a 76 to me.

The price covers the mods - so, to me, it makes sense. Plus, it'll last ya - wonder how it sounds.

What you want to see the amp or the bass? Can you see the ebay listing picks? I think according to the serial it's a 77' the only things i can really see from studying a 77 is the neck plate doesn't have an 'F' on it and the string retainer thing at the top is about 10mm too close to the nut. But other than that i quite like it. Good to knock about a bit!

Nice looking bass. I can't tell you if it's a good value, as I live in the U.S. and I can't speak about market conditions in the U.K. The biggest question is if you think it's worth what you paid. Other than that, it's a nice looking P-Bass you have there.
