Good gig bag

...another vote for Reunion Blues. Ridiculously high quality. I won't need another gig bag.

I just picked up a Reunion Blues Continental. VERY high quality and great protection and 'feel when strapped on'. However, it continues to blow my mind that bags like this model and the Mono bags have such limited space in the front pocket. I have trouble getting two cables, a tuner and a padded Comfort Strapp in that front pocket. I just don't get it. Mono has come out with that 'tick' option, which I guess is OK, if cumbersome. Why why can't the designers just put a friggin' normal size gear pocket on these things.

For the IMO best combination of quality/protection/weight/cost/POCKET CAPACITY!, I find the ProTec Contego the best designed hybrid bag out there at the moment. Designed VERY well. Not the uber quality of the Reunion, but half the price and much better ergonomics all the way around.

I too am running a Mono double case because I always take two basses with me. It works great and eliminated two full cases.

I just saw a Reunion Blues bag and they very nice as well. Doesn't seem as if you can go wrong with either.

Anyone experienced this with their Mono Vertigo gig bag? My 2 local friends got their bass neck tinted around the neck pillow position with their vertigo case (Fodera and F-bass) and can't be removed or clean

I have a Mono Vertigo, the Mono M80 Dual and one of their Guitar Ticks. I have found this to be an ideal set up for me.

Both bags are very, very well made and protective, with enough room for a fat strap (or 2), patch cords and a Zoom B3 in the front pocket, and an A/B switch in the top pocket of the Dual. In the Tick, I keep things like my mic, OneSpot, XLR cables, batteries, picks (:hiding:) and all those other little things. Then I just strap the Tick onto whichever bag I am taking that day and I am never without the little stuff.

In a pinch, the Tick also makes a great amp wedge....

For less money, the ProTec Contego is also a great choice.

Bummer! No such issues with mine on any of the basses I've used in it.
