Yep. Minor Threat and Fugazi are just wonderful. Ian Mackaye is pretty much as punk as punk can get. Love that guy.

I'll also add Moistboyz as a great non-mainstream punk act. Dean Ween on guitar. Awesome.

When I was a kid I listened to Subhumans, The Exploited, and Dead Kennedys a lot. Pretty great stuff.

Great suggestion with Moistboyz, too! I love them, but I must say I'm a much bigger fan of Ween. Love the stylistic diversity and sense of humor. Not really punk, though... Or are they?

Look up the Pink Lincolns from Floriduh, & the Vindictive from the Chicago area ... same vein as SW, all of which are pretty awesome, imo. Snot punk

Edit - and of course the best skate punk thrash band of all time Suicidal Tendencies. You should also get into thrash, it's awesome. Municipal Waste, Suicidal Angels, Exodus, Slayer, Violator, Vektor.
