thnx for answers guys! well i was just browsing ebay and i found that one company customizes russian big muffs, they replace all bad parts wich russian muff is famous for and put in bypass... should i get this one instead of LBF? I play american fender jazz bass highway one.
im in london.
wot about old green big muff???

The current Russian and older Sovtek (Green) Big Muffs tend to have a sharper, harsher edge to them. The LBM is warmer and thicker, IMO.

Pick whichever you think you'll like more.

I prefer sovteks to NYC muffs. I own a Black sovtek and I have another TBers Green one on its way to me at the moment. Im interested to see how they A/B against each other! I have heard both, but not on the same day through the same setup etc..

I love the smooth fuzz of the LBM, but for playing with my band, I've had to go a different route.

Which route is that?

I had a Russian/Slovtek Big Muff because it was cheaper and it broke.
I replaced it with the superior USA version but it did not have the 'bass boominess' of its Russian counterpart.

So I'm back in US..., back in the US..., back in the USSR, with a Russian muff again. For electric bass, it's superior to the other muffs, IMHO.

I'm, considering a MoHo Mod Muff (Link Removed a). Does anyone have any experience with these?
