Tried sending you a PM, but for whatever reason seems like you don't have that option active...
I've played a '57 AVRI Fullerton era and it was a REALLY nice bass, played like butter, had a great setup and was $1,500 and in near new condition. Seriously was one of the nicest Fenders I've played, but still couldn't justify the price (funny how I'll pay more than that for an acoustic guitar, but with electric guitars and basses I just can't do it).
I am still loving the Classic 50's Lacquer. Neck felt the same as the Classic 50's non-lacquer versions I've owned previously, and if I can recall correctly the '57AVRI neck was very similar. Currently I have the Classic 50's Lacquer set up with TI Jazz Flats, around .011" of neck relief, and the action is just a hair over 5/64" on the low E, 4/64" on the A & D, and 3.5/64" on the G, measured at the 17th fret.
