Good quality Amp and Speaker

I was curious Justin, who you pros are playing through for medium sized gigs. I currently play a Cirrus 5 through an SWR Super Redhead combo which is fine for the jazz and light rock stuff I do, but the unit weighs a ton. Is there anything you'd recommend in the 350 to 500 watt range and perhaps a good 1-12 or 2-10 cabinet, or perhaps you have other suggestions. Thanks in advance. Steve

DOOD...run, don't walk, to those new Aguilar lightweight jammies. I have two of the 1x12's and it smokes. Pairs great w/ Aguilar AG500. You'll be smiling.

Hey Justin, any indication from the folks at Aguilar about when these are going to make it to market? I haven't been able to find them at any of the Aguilar dealers in the NYC area or online.

Hey Justin,

Do the new lightweight cabs sound closer to the DB or GS series, or are they totally their own thing?

I lurveee my db410.. but some days I just wanna leave that big biznatch at home and go with something less back injury inducing. Problem is finding an ultralight that has the same kinda vintagy/midrangy tone.

TY,
Josh

You know what, it's everything I want. Loud and bold, plenty deep. I don't know the sound of the GS series, but I had a 112 at one point and found it too soft in the mids and top. I'd say it's far closer to the DB series.

I haven't checked anywhere else, but The Perfect Bass has'em.

Like wonderjosh, I have a DB410 I love, but that low, heavy thing is no good for a middle-aged 6'5" guy to move. I'm very curious about the SL112.
