Good source for raw woods

I second Gallery for Limba. Very easy folks to work with and they have some nice stuff.

I unfortunately have bought several pieces from him lately due to an incompetent N/C milling vendor. :(

One thing I found with Limba is it's hard to look at the surface of a slab and be able to tell what the grain will look like after cutting. The grain really changes throughout the wood. I had one piece with really nice grain on the surface and it looked horrible shaped and I had another that looked unspectacular on the surface but turned out great after cutting.

I also discoverd that sanding with 320 grit and using a satin shellac gives a great finish on this wood.

Have fun!!!
