i say no , but its not on me . custom lado's have increased in popularity and price . it would all depend on how much cash he is throwin your way .

don't do it, not for a Univox. They are okay but they ain't no Ric. As for trading a Lado for a real early 70's Ric you are gonna have to shell cash out of your pocket I am pretty sure of this.

If you want to be like Geddy, then may I suggest a few things?

1. Fender Geddy Lee signature Jazz Bass
2. Get a really bad nose job!!!!

i dont want the signature if i want a fender jazz like im gonna search a real 72 jazz bass but i like the hemisphere style i have buy a rick 2 mouth ago the guy tell me they are a 78 i dont have check the s/n but last week i check it for fun and i realise it was a 88 ... so now im tryin to find a 70's ...

really, '78-'88...what diffrence does it make? They all pretty much look and sound the same. Rather than trying to immulate someone else...be yourself...

I have played them all...60's, 70's, 80's there is not really any notable diferrence other than age and a few cosmetics changes from the 60's to the 70's

Hang on to the 88 for a few more years then it will be vintage, problem solved...I think vintage is anything over 25 years, well by my count you have 3 years to go till it's vintage.

keep your double-neck. I had both a 1969 and 1972 Ric as main gigging basses back in the 70's (wish I still did)---with virtually no difference between them BTW.
The trade is not a step up for you. I would advise you "NO".

If you MUST have an early '70's Ric--go for a real one--not a copy.
Save up for it and be darn sure you are willing to pay the price for something you may grow tired of.

Heck--if you want a Ric that bad-get a newer one for a lot less. IME, you'll find the tone of a Ric is pretty much the tone of a Ric regardless of year.

Je vais être honnête avec vous, peu importe quelle année votre Rickenbacker est. Je sais que vous aimez vintage et très vite le vôtre sera millésime ... ne gaspillez pas votre argent sur une Rickenbacker vintage ils ont beaucoup de problèmes avec le cou, etc. Tenir à ce que vous avez et se sentent heureux que vous l'avez.
