At our ages (I'm 66), we have lost and will lose many dear and close friends, many of whom inspired us to higher and higher levels of musicianship and other disciplines. Please accept my most earnest condolences and continue to do your friend and brother, Lyle Lloyd Lingle proud as you did in your most eloquent OP.
That sucks, I'm sorry. Looks like he played one Jazz bass for all those years. Nice. It also looks like he had a cool musical life. Thank you for sharing. I'll raise a beer to your friend this weekend.
