That is the single most "Texas" statement I've ever heard in my life!
I'm from Jersey -- What the Hell does it mean?????
+1... Cattle, I could see, but horses? You eat horses in Texas?

When we played the Bayou Circuit(south Louisiana) in the 80's, there were a number of GREAT bikers at those gigs. Most would push you out of the way of an oncoming car and get squashed themselves. And most quickly silenced the very few like the Unhappy Person you met. One in particular we called "Fridge"(this was WAY BEFORE the Chicago Bears guy) who was the size of the doorframe(width & height). He used to carry our small-bodied light man around on his shoulders at gigs for fun. That and watch out for us like a true friend.
Sad in this life that some people have had their Happiness Plug come loose and all of their Happiness has leaked out forever.
FA GID DA BOUT IT!
Next time, just walk away. Unhappy Persons Disease(UPD) can be contagious.

Thread drift..... I have a buddy who used to have a '73 Dodge Dart Swinger with the V8 from an '88 Diplomat Police car. Really tuned. Effing cool as heck.
Not to fan the flames but I see you're in Detroit (used to live in Lansing)...I bet there's a lot of 'deals' around this time of year in that neck of the woods.
Yeah, you're right...riding can be a meditation!
And by May next year I'll be done paying for my truck, and that money can be diverted to a bike! \m/ \m/ But it's a BITCH of a wait until then...
(Just thought we needed a little bike porn in this thread!)
Actually, no. The Swinger models had V8s in them and were pretty powerful. Not tuned like the police car, but the same basic engine. He was going to rebuild the engine when he happened upon the police car in a junkyard.Okay.... he put a rocket on a go-kart.
That's a GO Kart!!!! \m/ \m/

Crazy...I had a Pinto too. It was a blue 1973 and inherited from my grandmother. It did what you said...until I cracked it into a tree.
I like bikes. But I don't like bikers. It's kinda like bands. For every cool biker I know, or every cool band I know, there's 4 dirtbag arrogant pricks to counter them and give a bad impression. I get disillusioned and dejected about someday finding an old hawg and rebuilding it like I did my Mustang, cuz that clique is such an abrasive arrogant mindframe. Even worse than the Ford-Vs-Chevy feudin' street rodders I already have to deal with. The day I buy a Harley, I'm gonna be associated with those A-holes who give bikers a bad rap.
Or worse, I'll be associated with those weekend warriors who only ride 20 miles a weekend and then put their bikes back into storage on the battery charger, cuz they're more concerned with resale value and keeping their miles low on their bikes, INSTEAD OF RIDING THE HELL OUTTA THEM.
Lamer? How about this? Powdery blue Pinto...rear mag wheels and wide tires...with raised white letters...and a cherry bomb exhaust. HA! My grandmom was probably rolling over in her grave...god rest her soul.
