got my first Spector

So I got this beauty recently. Used. Spector Rebop 5 DLX, amberburst, Czech made. Completely blows my Charvel out of the water (not that it's a fair comparison). Great metal fingerstyle tone, which is what I was looking for. Took it to my thrash metal band's rehearsal last weekend, awesome. Really adds some heavy "weight" to the band's overall sound. Nice.

I've already given her a name: my wife.

plays great, feels great. the neck is just right (medium thickness, not an ibanez toothpick, not a warwick baseball bat, it just fits). it feels fast and still smells fresh from the factory. the low frets help give some clank and cut with fingerstyle (important for metal), as well as making it super easy to play (dont need to press the strings too hard to fret them and i dont get fret buzz either).

if i have to gripe about this instrument it would be some minor neck dive but it doesnt really get in the way of my playing. can't be beaten for tone and looks imho.

Very nice! I tried a ReBop 5 a few days ago, it was sweet! I'm thinking about trading my almost brand new Stingray 5HH for it(although I did just put a deposit on a Forte5!). The problem you're gonna have now is...how you're gonna get all the other Spectors you're gonna want! Trust me on that one! ;)! Enjoy!
