I am not a Cort fan but that is a nice one. Kinda looks like the lovechild of a Fender Jazz and a Wal!

    Is the Hipshot bridge standard?

    Nice.

Hipshot tuners, nice looking fretboard with the block position markers, nice colour

presumably an active bas if it has that battery compartment on the back?

Indeed it is Active. Hipshot tuners are standard as far as i know.

The Bass was £599 but i bought it from "the wall". Gig bag, Leather strap and the Bass came to a cool £555.

  9. What's 'The Wall' when it's at home, or am I missing something?

Sorry, i mean the wall of the Guitar shop hence the good deal.

  11. If she sounds and feels as good as she looks, you've got a winner!

Oh man, she sounds so so nice. I just tried her as well through my effects pedals. Funky!

I've decided to name her Sheila.

Cort basses never really caught my eye before....

but THAT one is freakin' HOT!!!

Gotta love the Duncan pickups, I have 'em in my Clement custom and they rock! I think we have the same MM by the bridge but I have a Quarter Pounder P at the neck and you have the J in that spot.
Do you know what kind of preamp is onboard?

    Cheers my fellow TB-ers!

i don't know much about the preamp because i dont know much generally about preamp. All i know is that its powered by a 9V battery.

+1 Never been a fan of Cort stuff, but that is a good lookin' bass! Should sound pretty stellar with those pickups. Congrats!

You wen't with the 94 in the end, nice choice, they're awesome axes!

You can get a Stingray vibe from it too, if you look at it from certain angles, espcially with a pickguard on it.

Hipshot bridge and tuners are licenced and standard.

Duncan designed BEQ-3 EQis on the GB-94.

    No bother at all dude!

Keep us posted on how you get on with the bass.

I love the neck, feels like a Jazz with balls.
