Got my new Duo 24 pedalboard today

Having gotten good and tired of not having enough room on my pedalboard for all the pedals I want to use, I upgraded. Well, first, a step back. My pedalboard for years was a nice 17x12 DIY job. It worked great. But I needed more room. I liked the concept of the Holeyboard but not the price, so I tried unsuccessfully to build my own. Then I surrendered to the inevitable and bought a Temple Audio Design Duo 24. Here's some pics.

The old board - 17x12 (ish) inches of good enough... until it wasn't good enough anymore.

The "I'll just build a DIY version of a Holeyboard. It'll be fun!" About 250 holes later: "I'm pretty sure that's not going to be fixed with a little sanding."

The new board - 24x12 (ish) inches of glorious room to put what I want, where I want. Yay! Oh and yes everything is on with cable ties except for the bluetooth page turner, which is on with those 3m command adhesive strips that you just gently pull to remove. Power is supplied with two 1-Spots, one dedicated to the envelope filter and the other daisy chained to everything else. I will eventually upgrade to a brick with isolated channels.

Very nice! Welcome to the Temple team! I love the Trio 43, myself. I thought about getting a Holeyboard at first as well, but my guitar player has one and honestly it's a bit of a pain. The holes are positioned so that it's difficult for him to zip-tie everything down, and you can't really fit as much on it as you would think by just looking at the photos. The Temple, for a zip-tie user, is the perfect answer - you made the right choice! Only complaint is not enough room under to fit my power supply, so it rides on top. Here's my Temple and my guitar player's Holeyboard to see what I'm talking about . Please forgive my cat's intrusion - he is my guitarist's biggest fan...

That's pretty sweet - I like that it's in a metal housing with standardized stomp switches and also that it can run on my pedal board power supply. If I didn't have one I'd buy it. If they still had the $69 pledge I'd do that. The lowest pledge that gets one now is $89, and for that price I'll wait till they are in production and on 15% off at Musician's Friend or GC. Thanks for teh heads up - I'll be following this one. Plastic does break.

I absolutely love my Temple Board, I have a Trio 21 - I just wish I got a size up! I absolutely underestimated how much I'd dig the form factor and my newest project's use of pedals. I'm using the pedal plates as my OCD would flare up whenever I saw the lil zip ties obscuring the art of the pedal.

Once I buy a power supply I'll figure out if I need to mount it on top (don't want to) or mount it on the bottom, and if that requires me to put taller feet in the back to make that space, well we have the technology .

Speaking of power supplies, I've looked at the MXR ISO 238 and the 1-Spot Pro and of course the Voodoo Labs 4x4, and I'd appreciate any thoughts people have in favor of or opposed to certain ones, but does anyone have experience with the "hundred dollars less" ones like Tom'sline Engineering Pedals Power Supply APW-6 or Donner DP-2 Guitar Pedal Power Supply? At under $50 each and claiming isolation, they seem a REALLY good value.

I don't have experience with the cheaper ones. I have a Truetone CS12 and love it - zero hum or noise. I think the CS7 version is around $100. Totally worth it. I'd avoid the MXR - pretty sure I've read that it's not really isolated...
