I'm gonna go the other way from those who say ignore the B string.


Unless you're just playing roots on the E A D and G strings, move all your positions UP the neck and forget the G string is there.

I highly recommend Sandberg basses, I play the VM2 5 string and with the rear humbucker soloed

it’s pretty close to the Stingray vibe.
I’ve never had it on the scales but it’s very light, lighter than any of my 4 strings.

Another recommendation for Maruszczyk. Use the online configurator and order a high quality bass with the specs that you want. I have a 5ver on the way exactly how I wanted it for $1700 shipped (and I've heard US distributors can order for you and save money).
