Double Bass Gougi CB1

Hi - I'm interested in any opinions or experience of the CB1 double bass from Fabrice Gougi in Brittany (France). It's fully carved, made in a Chinese workshop, but then hand finished including a highly detailed setup by Fabrice Gougi in his own workshop, fitted with a good bridge and Velvet strings (or any other choice).

His website is informative and the instrument looks good value for the money, as few if any further "improvements" should be necessary.

Thanks, Nigel

Mixed opinions here in France.
There are happy player with their CB 1.
Some experimented problems of top collapsing, but it seems it was on older models.
To my opinion, it's still a chinese made bass (of course not an absolute crap), that just gets some benefits from the luthiers work (thiner neck, fretboard dressing, adjustable bridge, better strings...).
But as I said, there are some topics on french DB forums where people are satisfied with the CB 1.
