I found a Greco Les Paul style Bass with a zemaitis shaped head stock, from 2002.
I also happened to pick up a Greco Zemaitis Les Paul shaped bass that you might have seen that's gloss black with pearl around the edge and of course the Zemaitis style headstock. Research says that the Zemaitis family made arrangements with Greco in Japan right before the turn of the century. There are very few Greco instruments with the Zemaitis shaped headstocks and generally they are from 2002. My theory was at the same shop, the same team built both of these instruments in the Japanese shop shortly after their business arrangement. They are both amazing Basses and I don't really care about their true heritage much, but I wonder if anybody can confirm my theory.. thanks in advance.
