Hey I know a GR Cube 110 has come up for sale near me. Its a 300w combo with tweeter. Can anyone shed light if this will keep up with a moderate volume drummer and can the GR 10 inch be good enough for a 5 String SR? thx for any assistance.

I only have the cab but it’s plenty loud with double bass and a drummer.

I just played a gig Sunday night with a 5 string for the first time. It did ok! Great for the weight and portability, it got a little congested sounding, but totally functional. The band was keyboard and full drum kit, playing prog-y Balkan music — not quiet for sure.

Yeah agreed. I was using my AI Clarus which does have an HPF filter, but I would have prefered my Felix's more powerful HPF.

I have a Clarus and considering a GR110, what pickup (and strings) you use with your double bass?

I have played Spiro Mitts, Weichs, 3885s. I had carpal tunnel and ulnar nerve surgery last month, and have switched to Zxex lights. My hands love them, but my bass REALLY loves them. Very gut-like but with Spiro growl!
My bass is a flatback with a single element Yamahiko on the E side. After owning a Full Circle, this is far and away a superior pickup.
