Grace Design Felix

Hello!

I'm and audiophile still looking for better sound nirvana..

Like most of You

I'm thinking about Grace Design Felix...one of my friends told me about this pre
that its fantastic...but he plays upright combined with electric bass.
I'm only electric bass player..and wondering is it good for this type of instrument?

I have EBS microbass (my first pre totally not using ..dont like it much since I own Fafner II)
and Lehle Basswitch (great! but not high-end)

Thinking about adding Felix as a pre and leave Basswitch for mixing, looping effects duties.

What are Your thoughts....help me decide.

I can go Alembic F1x or F2B route...to put it in front of lehle.
Or Goliath tube emphiser...
Uffff!!!! Too many ideas.
Grace is a clean one...I'm afraid to loose botton fatness.
Any advices...?

Not..
I have recently bought Avalon U5....WOW!
It puts lehle preamp to shame even if Avalon is preset ready preamp DI.
Lehle is really really Swiss Army knife... Having to many possibilities
never makes it the best in one...
Sure its above average..Microbass, Ampeg ( yes I own or owned them)
but not High_End.
I'm an audiophile (McIntosh audio at home) so when I hear something better
I know I want it. Had recent situation with Focal monitors in studio. Distributor have
lent them to me to try.. I wasn't to exited until I have heard them... First 10s and I knew
it is must have..
