Grammy commentary

Things are not always what they seem. It's an illusion, due to the angle, lighting, what have you. Id put large sums of money on it.

I'll leave you with this.

Browse pictures of him with his various Jazz basses, including this one.

Are there any other pictures that make you think the bridge on this or the others, is anything but a standard bent plate Fender bridge?

I think you will find the answer is no.

So with that in mind - why would this be different? Is it possible he tried another bridge on this instrument, and later reverted back to the stock bridge? Sure, anything is.

But......

Is it likely, considering every other picture of this bass AND his other basses show the stock bridge?

I think not.

Just a lighting effect. It's not a very high resolution photo either.

If ya'll haven't heard Jason Isbell's stuff, you're missing out. He got his first two Grammies.

Still hoping Sam Hunt manages to fall down and get run over by his own tour bus....
I'm going to see Jason live in two days, been a fan since his DBT days. I'm glad he's finally getting some well-deserved recognition.

I'm betting the sound company will never work another Grammy's show! Wasn't just the Adele set. Uneven mic levels all night long. Adele was off pitch and I don't think she could hear the piano in her in-ears. Shoulda just pulled them out and got near the piano so she could hear the key. She seemed tired anyway. Gotta say no sometimes. Can't burn yourself out. Most of the performances were ok. Nothing blew me away. Stevie and Pentatonix were good.

Just watched the Gaga video...I'm a huge Bowie fan...Liked the production but thought her voice was weak...I'm not bashing her at all as I have seen her on SNL and although she does not perform the type of music I listen to I found her singing and piano chops to be first rate...my 2 cents albeit a bit late.

Her talent is being so drop dead beautiful. She's almost perfection.
If I could somehow transplant Katy Perry's chest onto Taylor, I would have made the perfect woman.
Oh wait, someone would have to teach her how to play bass too, and that would be me!@

Interesting. I've always thought Taylor Swift looked kind of like an alien. Now, Katy Perry on the other hand...
