Great basses you never see anyone well known using

Any one famous using one of these? 1997 Yamaha bbg4.Don't think so, Nathan East bbne model is closest as I think this was the affordable predecessor to his bass.

Because "Famous" people aren't the ones that matter.

I love my Yamaha SBV-500 "Samurai." I've seen it played by a few professionals, but not anyone known to the general audience in the States.
