His own sig bass of his own design. Currently a Kiesel B25 Brian Bromberg Signature Bass. He's had other bass makers produce models.

Thought it might somehow have been the keyboards, but during those same parts when the shot is from behind him, there's nothing going on on the left side of either keyboard.

Main bassline is piped in. He does that quite a lot on his performances.

Main bass line is a recorded backing track of his playing. When he plays his solo or funky stuff, he has a relatively light touch. His active pickups, slightly scooped bass tone, relatively high volume in the mix allows a lot of string detail to come out. That’s the source of the growl. Probably has a very sparse signal chain. Probably bass and high quality preamp and straight to the mixer. If he uses an amp, it’s probably just for stage monitoring. Seems he’s using the Aguilar 751 into a stack of 10’s which is a classic funk player setup because if the high clean headroom. But, it could very well be we’re hearing a direct signal in that clip. I say that because the clean bass detail sounds more direct than mic’d. And, little things like the reverb on the drums and his bass during slap fills sound like they are added at the board or in post-processing. That’s definitely not coming off the stage naturally. Computer on stage is also a give away for the tracks.
