Here's a new to me preamp that I got for home recording but the Di on it gets great reviews and I noticed it had a high input impedance at a high pass filter so I had to try it as a preamp for my piezo pickup into my amp. It sounds fantastic. Super smooth and super juicy and thick and even up and down the bass. of course I know it's super impractical to using this way and probably never will leave my house. That said, my Broughton studio one gets me pretty darn close. the Phoenix has very subtle EQ so it takes a lot of twisting to get to where my broughton gets me.
