IMO, Guns N' Roses' "Welcome To The Jungle" and Boston's "More Than A Feeling" have the merit not only of being some of the best album openers, but the best debut tracks (1st song of 1st album).

+1 on GNR "Welcome to the Jungle" -I'm not a big fan of the band, but I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard that song, and we all knew that they would be big.
