So many times on the Internet it seems that the only time somebody will post something is if they had a bad experience. It doesn't matter what it is it gets posted. We rarely hear about people who have had a good experience. Well now you will.
Over the long weekend I was playing through my MESA WD 800 and my GK Neo IV 212 cab. I started hearing a LOUD fuzzy buzzing sound on certain notes. The 14th fret on the G was really bad. I tracked it down to the handle. vibrating. When I took a closer look at the handle I could see that it had strips of thin foam rubber installed underneath the handle obviously to stop rattles and vibration noises. TBH I almost didn't buy the cabinet due to the design of the handles. I've had bad experiences with those Spring loaded handles in the past. Either the spring eventually breaks and the handle is flopping around all the time or as what happened to me. They end up getting loose from moving and rattling after a certain amount of time. IMO GK really needs to start using a different handle.
I Zipped off a support request on the GK website on 08/30/2025. Heard back from Jason Finley at GK on 09/01/2025 saying he'd get a set of handles shipped to me under warranty and advising that I didn't need to return the defective handles.
To my surprise the handles arrived via FedEx a couple of days later. That's great service seeing as how they had to travel from Cali to the Carolinas. New handles now installed and everything is good. I noticed there was no foam underneath the replacement handles. They work fine. KUDOS to Jason and the GK team for a job well done,
