Greatest (popular) Rock Bassists ..

For the second purpose of my coursework on school, ive ended up creating a presentation on the greatest rock or metal bassists. For part of my research i am using forums.

So, i would muchly appreciate any help you could give on this matter ....
please post as ANY of the better bassists that you can think of, but please do not talk about jazz or the likes. Also, posting one of their "better" songs would be helpful to my purposes.
