Welcome aboard! Just finished reading the Grail Series by Bernard Cornwell, excellent historical fiction about the medieval battles where the longbow made the English nearly invincible against the cream of French knighthood. I saw a demonstration of the longbow in England. I could barely draw it more than about 12". Thank god for compound bows! We have a target bag out in the back yard for the kids, they occasionally launch a few with simple recurved bows. It's a great forum, the occasional troll notwithstanding. They usually get bored because people ignore them. Lot's of great advice and well considered opinion.

Very cool Benny. Do since you shoot fita then I'm sure you've heard of Carter releases. That's my Dad and I.

Awesome. Archery can be a bit of a costly hobby too I guess. So does an archer play bass heavy handedly or with light touch? Do you prefer light gauge, heavy gauge, chunky neck, skinny neck?
At Talkbass, we are good at shoving basses down ya throat.

Now that is cool, one of my favourite releases ever was my just cuz+, still regret selling it (was going through a silly phase trying to chase extra points by changing gear way too often) shot some great scores with it. Think I'll buy another when i start shooting compound again. I love my triggers, not a big fan of hinges though.

Right now I am working on strengthening my left fingers and getting the bridge height set so they are playable, but with no fret buzz. It's a trial and error experience I see. Right hand is working on finger picking drills to improve accuracy and get a clean sound. String gauge is something I need to learn. The Mikro is obviously a pretty light gauge with a thin neck. The 5 string when it gets here will obviously be a thicker gauge and thicker neck, but I'm hoping it will be a more playable action than the beast of the Yamaha was.

Just cuz+ is and has been one of my all time favorites. If you start up again let me know. :)
