Recently, as an adult, I realized that when I was a teenager most of my favorite songs were defined by the sound of bass which, in my opinion, carried the songs throughout. However, until recently, I am guilty of not even knowing the difference between any guitar.
A recent life event made me reflect on my past and the songs that made me feel good. Consequently, I started to understand that all along I have been in love with bass.
I enjoy bass tracks in various genres including classics like Just the two of us from Bill Withers, modern pop like Circles from Post Malone, and even K-POP songs like Back Door from Stray Kids - I believe that the bass intro is actually the star of the Back Door song.
Long story short - yesterday I went for an entry level step to my new hobby and acquired my first electric bass (Yamaha BB234), amp, headphones, cables etc.
Looking forward to absorbing the posts on this great forum, and hopefully being in a position to contribute something interesting here in the near future.
