Greetings from Long Beach, CA

Hey there,

I have played guitar on and off over the years (off due to neck/back issues), and 15 months ago I took up the upright bass. Fairly recently, I also got a handmade fretless, ergonomic bass made by Chris Forshage, and have been working with that. Mostly however, I've been spending a lot of time with the upright using the Simandl book and learning a couple of Oscar Pettiford t
tunes. I really like modern jazz rhythm sections, but am working heavily on basics atm. Starting on working with a bow 2022, but totally intimidated. Also intimidated by slap bass, but wanting to learn that at some point, as I love funk.

Thx for creating the space. I'm looking forward to exploring what's inside.

Sharon
