Greetings from Soggy Wales

Hi folks, I picked up a bass for the first time in March - a sedond-hand short scale Fender BG32 acoustic. Haven't stopped playing it since & have been playing as many basses as I can get my hands on. Not in a band, but have gigged at church a few times & at singarounds at a local folk festival. I'm looking forward to my first solid-bodied electric.
Big question: what type of strings for the new instrument? I guess I'll have to scan the forum or start a thread....

Welcome to the new guy from Cymru!

Try a set of LaBella black nylon tapewounds on your BG32 - they really work well and usually improve the acoustic tone tremendously.

Also, there's a lot of good info here on acoustic bass guitars - search for "ABG", and you'll be reading for days.

Again, welcome!
