I hate forums.
They keep me up all night...
I've been reading this one for quite a few years, and thought it would a good time to join. I have never been a forum member before, so if I make any mis-steps, kindly let me know.
About me: I've been playing for 20 years or so; mostly in my basement. I was in a couple of bands when I was a teenager but I've been off the radar since. I love soul, jazz, all skools of funk, as well as reggae...old stuff new stuff on and on.I've had many basses over the years; I've settled on Jazzes and my ole upright.
Someday I hope to get good enough to play out, maybe join a band...it's hard to find people tho, my tastes are kinda "out there". Then there's the stage fright. And the fact I'm kinda clumsy and uncoordinated. I tend to step on my cable and knock over mic stands and such. ugh, I'm a trainwreck.
Anyhoo, that's my intro, I guess. I don't know if I'll post much, just about every question seems to have been asked already...what a great forum!
