Greg Chaisson Signature Bass

You should just reach out to him on social media and ask him what he would want in a signature bass and then build one.
Hey, if you have the means and funds, you could offer to build two and gift one to him.
He’d probably be willing to sign it for you.

I was never familiar with Badlands, but I remember Greg Chaisson's solo record 30+ years ago when I was a teen.

He was opening for Kings X a few years ago, but the promoter for the show here was a completely incompetent buffoon and screwed things up so badly that Greg's whole set got cut while they finished setting up the sound system in front of a packed venue. So I didn't get to hear him then. They were super disappointed to not even get their instruments out because things were going so poorly. King's X started probably 45min late, but they put on a great show.

Yep. Was at the show. Complete clusterF from the promoter. With info I was gettin prior to show day I was shocked there was any show.

I love Greg.
He's a kick ass bass player. Badlands was nothing short of incredible. All band members were amazing. But Ray Gillen's talent and Jake E Lee's talent overshadowed Greg, Eric and Jeff a bit.

Plus Greg is a super down-to-earth and straight-up kinda guy.

Greg ordered this custom bass wth me many years ago. But he had to withdraw from the commission half way through the build process. Because he fell on hard times. I kept the bass for years. But Greg sort of retired from the live circuit.
So eventually the bass got sold to someone else.

Greg asked for a baseball bat neck. (very thick and round) Which is kinda funny, because he's also a talented baseball player and coach!

34" scale. Set neck. Hand wound fifties style single coil with extra large pole pieces.
