Gross distorted sound

I have an acousic b600h head and an acoustic 410 cab and I have been getting an empty gross distorted un-bass like sound, any idea what it could be? My bass is an ibanez gio if that means anything

You might need a new battery in the bass. You might have damaged the speaker cones.
