Gross things other musicians do.

Nail clipping, ear wax removal, sweating etc? It's all giving me the shivers!

Concur. Bio-cheese belongs in hospitals, not on gigs.

I played in a blues band years ago with a guitarist who, when his nose plugged, would give it a farmer's blow regardless of where we were...usually right on stage. Maybe Kleenex are incompatible with the blues pedigree.

Could have re-named ourselves the Launching Boogers Band.

Not really gross, but definitely uncool, was a drummer who answered his cell phone during a song and continued to play with his right hand while arguing with his wife about their broken dishwasher. This was at a jazz gig during a pretty quiet ballad (and during my solo, I might add) and the audience could hear their conversation loud and clear. To add insult to injury, the incident was repeated a few minutes later during another song.

Mid 90's - I was at a regional music show in San Jose, CA.

We had a small Trace Elliot bass stack set up for people to try, along with some Hamer basses. We had a few guitar picks for people to use sitting on top of the amp.

A guy comes up, takes a pick and puts it fully into his mouth, plays a bass for a few minutes, then takes the pick out of his moth and puts it back on the top of the amp as he's leaving. He never used the pick - he just sucked on it.

I could have typed those exact words myself----

. This same dude also never, ever washed his hands. His guitar was covered in a black patina that probably harbored every disease know to science.
